PERSONALITY
Mordred is a classic introvert, preferring their own company. In fact, they are very unlikely to seek out the company of others unless necessary; it is most often Boo who inadvertently leads them to make friends. To others, they appear quiet and withdrawn, occasionally even rude or dismissive.Although they are slow to trust, Mordred takes a liking to anyone to Boo shows an affinity for. Once they do open up, Mordred becomes a very stubborn, driven person with a dry sense of humour and a soft spot for animals; however, it is only with a few select people that they lose their aloof nature.Despite their disinterest in people, Mordred is deeply curious about the flora and fauna of the galaxy, and is extremely attached to their nomadic lifestyle- they can often be found hopping between planets, taking up bounty hunter jobs while documenting the local wildlife.

POST-CRYOSTASIS
After being rescued, Mordred finds themself on the planet Raxacorico-6; a colony, with its expansion being halted by its base being under constant attack by the raptor-like natives. It's imperative that they do wipe these creatures out- the consequences from their home planet if they fail this mission would be dire. Feeling as though they owe a debt to the residents, Mordred agrees to take up arms in the battle against these creatures, whom they are told are nothing but violent beasts.Despite their best efforts to fit in with the culture of the planet, Mordred's attempts are often in vain- they're an insular people, seeing Mordred only as a means to an end. However, the provisions of food and shelter is enough to keep them around, although they spend the majority of their time avoiding the people and instead patrolling the outskirts of the base.Through many long months of observing these creatures in their natural habitat, Mordred gradually realises that they're not mindless killers, but in fact simply animals following their instinct to survive- the 'attacks' are attempts to scavenge food, as their natural food sources have been all but wiped out by the colonists' terraforming. Mordred's attempts to communicate this, however, are met with nothing but ridicule; the colonists are building a weapon to wipe out the native fauna once and for all, and nothing will stop them from claiming this planet as their own.
Not having a choice in the matter- the colonists are their only source of survival- Mordred does their best to sabotage the building of said weapon, while stealing food to give to the creatures, preventing further attacks on the base. They begin to spend more long hours building trust with them- in particular, a young female raptor whom Mordred affectionately nicknames Burc'ya, the Mando'a word for 'friend', or Boo for short.Frustrated with the colonists' refusal to listen to them, Mordred gets into what almost ends up being a physical fight with the commander of the base. Through this, Mordred's attempts to sabotage the weapon are revealed. It is decided that it can't wait any longer; the weapons will be deployed, and Mordred will be sentenced to imprisonment. How long they languish in imprisonment for, Mordred isn't sure. Weeks, months maybe, tormented by the guilt they feel for their part in wiping out the dinosaurs. When they start hearing what sounds like a raptor scurrying around near their cell, they're sure they've gone insane- even more so when Boo's face appears on the other side of the bars. It takes a lot of convincing on Boo's part before Mordred realises that she is, in fact, real and alive, though the last survivor of her species. What follows is a prison escape that they barely escape by the skin of their teeth. Mordred is able to steal a ship for them and Boo, leaving the planet behind for good.In order to survive and make a living for themselves, Mordred puts their combat skills to use as a bounty hunter, an occupation that takes them traveling across the galaxy.
